New homes available! Eleven miles west of Bastrop, Cedar Creek is located next to the creek that bears its name. In 1832, a league of Blackland prairie on both banks of the creek was given to Addison Litton. Cedar Creek had 600 residents by 1884 and was used as a transportation location for cotton and other products. In 2008, Cedar Creek County Park was officially opened. The first county park in Bastrop County is a 46-acre space. Football, soccer, and baseball fields, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a play area, historical sites, nature paths, picnic tables, and a butterfly garden are all included in the park.
